Selecting and Comparing Multiple Documents
- To use this feature, first click on the "Multi-Select" toggle in the left hand menu of your board to turn on multi-select.
- With this toggle turned on you can select the tiles you want to compare by checking the boxes that will now be displayed in the top right corner of the each tile. (Note: the maximum number of tiles that can be selected at once is 30).
- You are also able to select all of the tiles within a lane at once by clicking on the "Select All Tiles" button that will be displayed near the right hand side of each lane header.
- Once you have selected a number of tiles you can click the "Compare Selected" button in the left hand menu which will be visible when the multi select toggle is switched on. This will display all of the selected documents in a new view.
- Note that if you are a board editor you will also see a "Delete Selected" button under the multi select toggle when it is turned on. Clicking this will delete all of the selected tile at once.
- When in the compare view you can set the number of columns to allow for the documents to be displayed in a grid layout. Use the up and down arrows to adjust the number of columns or simply enter a number between 1 and 30 into the text box then press the enter key. Increasing the number of columns to a large number will let you to display all of the documents side by side in a single row. The initial setting is 10 columns and the maximum setting is 30 columns.
- Documents can be moved around when the drag and drop toggle is switched on. Turning this on will also zoom the view out to allow for an easier way to move documents around. To get back to the standard view simply turn the drag and drop switch off.
- Hover your mouse over a document to display a "view pdf" button in the top center of the document. Click on this button to convert the document to an inline pdf.
- Tiles that do not have an associated document (or have a document that cannot be displayed) can still be selected and viewed in the compare view. These tiles they will display the URL link to the attached document if there is one as well as the description for that tile. The description can be edited by clicking on the pencil edit icon that is displayed in the top right corner of tiles that do not have a document displayed. This is an easy way to make notes while viewing documents in the compare view.
