Default SharePoint Upload Folder
When uploading a file to a Tile in Virbeya, the file is uploaded to a specified folder in SharePoint Online. The folder in SharePoint where a file is uploaded to is initially set to the Root Folder of the SharePoint Document Library configured for the Board in the Site Level configuration. (This is usually done by a system administrator when setting up a board for the first time.)
This can be changed by setting the SharePoint Drop Folder at the Board Level.
If a board does not have a drop folder set, then the drop folder for that board will default to the one set at the site level (see above). To set the drop folder for a Board:
- Click the 3 vertical dots in the top right corner of the board to slide open the board menu.
- Click on the pencil edit icon to open the edit board tab.
- Click on the pencil edit icon next to the input labeled "SharePoint Upload Folder"
- A folder picker will pop up and show you folders in your SharePoint site.
- Browse to the folder you want to set as the drop folder then click "Select".
The drop folder can also be overridden at the Lane Level. Each lane can have a different folder set to be the drop folder for files uploaded to tiles within that specific lane. If a lane does not have a drop folder set then the drop folder for that lane will default to the one set for the board (see above). To set the drop folder for a Lane:
- Click the 3 vertical dots to slide open the lane menu of the lane you would like to set the drop folder for.
- Click on the pencil edit icon to open the edit lane tab.
- Click on the pencil edit icon next to the input labeled "SharePoint Upload Folder"
- A folder picker will pop up and show you folders in your SharePoint site.
- Browse to the folder you want to set as the drop folder then click "Select".
NOTE: You must have owner or editor permission for the board or lane to be able to set this setting.
